Spilman Adds Depth to Multiple Services
Charleston, W.Va. —Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC (Spilman) announced that three new team members have joined the law firm’s Charleston office, adding depth to its consumer finance, government relations, labor and employment, and technology services.
Thomas S. Bailey, who joins the firm as Government Relations & Information Technology Specialist, will develop and manage government relations projects for clients. He also will provide technology-related services to clients, including information/technology consulting and project management. He previously served as a contractor for the Department of Defense specializing in the design and deployment of biometric systems for the United States military, federal agencies and multinational partners.
Mitchell J. Rhein, an associate attorney, will be assisting on labor and employment law matters. He also will be working in the firm’s government relations group. He earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Having served as a summer associate for two summers at Spilman, his application for admission to the West Virginia State Bar is pending.
Tai C. Shadrick, also an associate attorney, returns to Spilman after serving for a year as a judicial law clerk to Fourth Circuit Judge Robert B. King. Her primary area of practice will be consumer finance litigation. She earned her undergraduate degree from Towson University, her Master of Education degree from Frostburg State University, and her law degree from West Virginia University. She is admitted to practice in West Virginia.
