Charleston, W.Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that lawyers Gerald M. Titus III and Joseph A. "Jay" Ford were elected to leadership positions with the West Virginia State Bar.

Titus, a Member, was elected to the Board of Governors. At Spilman, he defends and advises trucking companies and other commercial vehicle operators in litigation and regulatory matters. He also assists clients in the areas of business litigation and products liability defense. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Washington and Lee University.

Ford, a senior attorney, was elected to the Young Lawyers Executive Committee. His primary area of practice is general litigation, including class actions, commercial litigation and business torts, product liability, deliberate intent, and employment-related matters. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from West Virginia University.
