Winston-Salem, N.C. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that business leaders from around the Triad region gathered today at the firm’s SuperVision™ labor and employment law symposium.

“This is our first in-person SuperVision in North Carolina since before the pandemic, and we’re excited to be back to the live format,” said Jeffrey D. The SuperVision™ series, which Spilman offers at no charge, is tailored to business owners, human resources professionals, and anyone who manages employees.

Themed as “The Future of Work: Legal Strategies for Employers in a Dynamic Landscape,” this year’s symposium covered critical topics such as remote work, workplace investigations, unfair competition, union avoidance, and workplace violence.

A highlight of the event was the morning keynote address delivered by Mark Whitacre, Ph.D., who serves as Vice President of Culture & Care and Executive Director of the t-factor initiative at Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc. Whitacre, who is famously known as the subject of the book and film The Informant, shared insights from his extraordinary career.

"Mark’s life story and journey of faith are truly remarkable," Patton said. "It’s one of the most powerful and inspiring testimonies I’ve ever heard."
