Ms. Jones Adams’ primary areas of practice include employment, education, corporate, and health care law. She draws on her diverse background to provide practical and tailored solutions for clients. Building upon early career experience in complex litigation, Erin brings a unique approach to problem-solving as she assists clients with compliance and risk management initiatives while seeking to avoid disputes.

Experience

  • Providing strategic advice and counseling to employers concerning the full array of employment issues
  • Supporting school, college, and university compliance with education laws, including Title IX, Clery Act, and FERPA, and other legal obligations (e.g., due process, accreditation, policy development, accommodations)
  • Conducting investigations, including workplace and Title IX, and related adjudication processes
  • Assisting health care institutions with research and education-related initiatives, including residency programs, clinical research studies and trials, and institutional review boards
  • Performing internal audits of employment practices with a focus on policies, employer documentation, wage and hour practices, employment authorization, leave administration, employment and non-compete agreements, and trade secret protection
  • Assisting with administrative proceedings and investigations by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, Office for Civil Rights, and Department of Education
  • Developing and advising on human resources programs, including policies, compensation and benefits, employee training, accommodations, leave, and separation programs and incentives
  • Providing day-to-day and ad hoc support regarding services agreements, procurement issues, contracts and documentation, and professional outsourcing arrangements
  • Managing electronic discovery in a variety of litigation matters, including trademark, employment and contract disputes, and enforcement of electronic discovery protocols
  • Litigating all types of employment matters, as well as advising management on compliance issues and protection against lawsuits
