Ms. Hawrot’s primary areas of practice are complex domestic relations, minor and adult guardianships and conservatorships, real estate law, and general litigation matters.

Experience
- Representing individuals in West Virginia and Ohio in divorce and domestic relations cases involving child custody, visitation, alimony and equitable distribution
- Representing individuals in high-asset divorce cases involving closely-held businesses, pension valuations and spousal support issues in West Virginia and Ohio
- Experience in complex custody cases including multi-jurisdictional issues
- Obtaining guardianships and conservatorships for adults and children
- Representing clients in surrogacy matters and adoptions
- Arguing before the WV Supreme Court enabling clients to adopt their foster child
- Serving as Guardian ad Litem in many courts to serve the best interests of children in contentious custody cases and abuse/neglect cases
- Representing clients in West Virginia and Ohio real estate matters including surface and mineral title examinations
- Working with experts to value business interests and real estate
- Assisting clients with probate and estate administration
