Spilman Attorney Appointed to West Virginia Election Commission
Huntington, W.Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Bradley D. Dunkle, Counsel attorney in the law firm’s Huntington office, recently was appointed to the West Virginia Election Commission by Governor Jim Justice.
In this role, Dunkle will work with the other Commissioners to advise the Secretary of State as to the conduct of elections generally and develop nonpartisan educational material for voters, among other duties.
“I am honored to have been appointed by Governor Justice for this important role,” Dunkle said. “I am eager to collaborate with the other Commissioners and the Secretary of State to ensure the integrity of our elections.”

At Spilman, Dunkle’s primary area of practice is litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice, civil litigation, deliberate intent litigation, and insurance defense litigation. He also serves as Captain in the West Virginia Air National Guard. He earned his undergraduate degree in history from Marshall University and his law degree from the University of Cincinnati.
