Spilman Attorney Macia Named President-Elect of W.Va. Bar Association
Charleston, W.Va. — The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC announced that Alexander Macia, member in its Charleston office, is now the West Virginia Bar Association (WVBA) President-Elect. He will assume the position of President at the next WVBA annual meeting, occurring in August of 2014.
The WVBA is a voluntary, private association of lawyers that offers programs and services to enhance professional development. For more information, please visit www.wvbarassociation.org.
Macia previously served on the WVBA Executive Council. In his role as President-Elect, Macia will assist the current President in various capacities.
Macia has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, and his practice focuses on defense litigation, mine safety, administrative and government relations law. He earned his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and his law degree from George Washington University.
