Roanoke, Va. – Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC (Spilman) announced that two of the firm’s labor and employment attorneys were recognized in Virginia Super Lawyers magazine. King F. Tower was named on the Super Lawyers list, and Carrie M. Harris was named on the publication’s Rising Stars list.
 
The objective of the Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys from more than 70 practice areas that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and consumers in the search for legal counsel. The methodology includes a statewide nomination process, peer review by practice area and independent research.

Tower, a Member of the firm, leads the Roanoke office in its labor and employment practice. He also assists with labor and employment matters in the firm’s Winston-Salem, North Carolina office. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his law degree from the College of William & Mary.

Harris, a senior attorney, focuses her practice on litigation matters, with an emphasis on labor and employment law, consumer finance law, and public utility and energy law. She earned her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Roanoke College and her law degree from the College of William & Mary.
