Charleston, W.Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Isaiah C. Robinson joined the law firm as an associate.

Robinson’s primary area of practice is litigation. He has experience assisting in all phases of pre-trial litigation, including drafting pleadings, drafting dispositive and evidentiary motions, conducting discovery, participating in pre-trial motions hearings, and conducting trial preparation.

Robinson is the African American Representative to the West Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Section. He previously served as President of the Black Law Students Association at West Virginia University, where he earned his law degree. Also while at WVU, he was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Appellate Advocacy.

Robinson earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He is admitted to practice law in West Virginia.
