Charleston, W.Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that two new associates have joined the law firm.

Sophia L. Hines joined the firm’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. A recent graduate of American University Washington College of Law, her application with the Pennsylvania Bar currently is pending. Once admitted to the Bar, her primary areas of practice will be corporate law and intellectual property law.

Malcolm E. Lewis, CIPP/US joined Spilman’s Winston-Salem, North Carolina office. A graduate of North Carolina Central University School of Law, he is recognized as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. His application with the North Carolina Bar is pending. Once admitted to the Bar, he will focus his practice on litigation.
