Spilman Expands Team with Four New Associates in N.C. and W.Va.

Charleston, W.Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that four new associates have joined its Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Charleston, West Virginia offices.

Hikmat N. Al-Chami has joined the firm’s Winston-Salem office. A recent graduate of North Carolina Central University School of Law, her application to the North Carolina State Bar is pending. Upon admission, her practice will focus on corporate law, including real estate law and health care law matters.

Nicholas A. Muto has joined Spilman’s Charleston office. A recent graduate of the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law, his application to the West Virginia State Bar is pending. His practice will focus on corporate law upon admission.

Brady R. O’Saile also has joined the Charleston office. A recent graduate of West Virginia University College of Law, his application to the West Virginia State Bar is pending. He will focus on litigation once admitted.

Arianna P. Webb joins the Charleston office as well. A recent graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law, her application to the West Virginia State Bar is pending. Upon admission, she will concentrate her practice in litigation.

Each of the new associates previously participated in Spilman’s highly selective summer clerkship program, which serves as the firm’s primary recruiting pipeline for full-time associates. Spilman’s mindful approach to growth ensures that the firm hires only as many summer clerks as will be needed to fill future associate positions, eliminating competition and fostering a collegial and collaborative atmosphere for the benefit of the firm’s clients, attorneys, and staff.
