Spilman Honored as Legal FRONTLeader

November 29, 2011

Roanoke, Va. -- Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC was recognized as a Legal FRONTLeader in the Valley Business FRONT FRONTList 2011 for its Community Banking Group.

Spilman attorneys saw that community banks needed assistance navigating through new federal regulations. To help meet that need, Spilman created its Community Banking Group by bringing together an insightful and experienced team of attorneys from a cross-section of its practice groups.

“We are honored to be recognized for the work we do for the community banking industry,” said Spilman member Timothy Moore, leader of the Community Banking Group. “We have been very pleased at the reception our Community Banking Group has received among those in the industry. Our attorneys pride themselves on their ability to offer community banks the convenience of a knowledgeable and comprehensive industry practice group that can address their needs.”

The Community Banking Group’s goal is to collaborate with its clients to provide the experience and knowledge needed to more confidently and calmly move forward in these tumultuous times. In addition to the traditional banking and finance services, Spilman advises community banking clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, tax, wealth management, labor and employment, regulatory, securities, construction, white collar/compliance, corporate, and creditors’ rights and bankruptcy – all from the community banking viewpoint.
