Spilman Supports Bennington Book Launch with Continued Focus on Diversity
Charleston, W.Va. — The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC (Spilman), in partnership with the Charleston Area Alliance, recently sponsored local career coach and author Emily Bennington’s launch of her second book, Who Says It’s a Man’s World?, as part of the firm’s Women’s Networking Series and diversity initiative.
Bennington’s book aims to help women find personal and professional fulfillment in their careers while working toward career advancement. “This is an issue that is tremendously important to me and to Spilman,” remarked Spilman member and Women’s Networking Series leader Amy Condaras. “We focus on gender diversity. Our clients evaluate us on gender diversity.”
Bennington reiterated, “Spilman is a shining example of a firm that works hard to create leadership opportunities for women and encourage the personal and career growth of its female attorneys.”
More than 100 businesswomen turned out for the event, held at the Charleston Area Alliance. JoEllen Zacks, Alliance Senior Vice President said, “This book launch fit perfectly with the goals of our Elevations Professional Women’s Network: to enrich, empower, and elevate professional women in our community. We are always happy to partner with Spilman on events like this and were pleased to see what a great turnout was generated.”
