Ms. Jones Adams’ primary areas of practice include employment, corporate, and education law. She draws on her diverse background to provide practical and tailored solutions for clients. Building upon early career experience in complex litigation, Erin brings a unique approach to problem-solving as she assists clients with a variety of employment, education, and corporate matters while seeking to avoid disputes, maintain compliance, and navigate risks.

Experience

  • Providing strategic advice and counseling to employers dealing with the full array of employment issues, including EEO policies and practices
  • Conducting investigations of complaints and internal audits of employment practices with a focus on policies, handbooks, employment agreements, and noncompete and trade secret protection
  • Assisting with administrative proceedings and investigations by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor
  • Developing and managing human resources programs, including policy development and reviews, compensation and benefits, program transitions, employee training, and voluntary separation programs and incentives
  • Experience supporting Title IX, Clery Act, FERPA, and other education law matters
  • Providing day-to-day and ad hoc support regarding procurement issues, contracts, and documentation; services agreements; outsourcing arrangements; and cyber issues
  • Experience with nonprofit advising related to endowed funds, trust litigation, and general compliance advice
  • Managing electronic discovery in a variety of litigation matters, including trademark, employment and contract disputes, and enforcement of electronic discovery protocol
  • Litigating all types of employment matters, as well as advising management on compliance issues to avoid or protect against lawsuits
  • Former Summer Law Clerk, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit
