Mr. Taylor’s primary area of practice is litigation.
Experience
- Serving as first chair defending employers in civil litigation suits and resolutions all over the Commonwealth of Virginia in general district and circuit courts, including complex TBI and wrongful death cases
- Advising clients on corporate structures, strategies for contested buyouts, acquisitions, and sales of ownership interest
- Litigating and defending clients in civil suits against allegations, including fraud, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, violations of the Computer Crimes Act, violations of the Virginia Business Conspiracy Act, and violations of the Virginia Trade Secrets Act
- Acting as second chair for a $10 million breach of contract lawsuit for a biomass boiler manufacturer against a Virginia University
- Representing a well-known gym franchise in filing an Emergency Injunction and Declaratory action in response to Governor Northam’s Executive Orders 53 and 55
- Serving international clients, including in the areas of strategic consultation involving cross-border transactions, due diligence, risk analysis and reverse-engineering risk reduction
- Drafting commercial contracts
- Advising and reviewing documentation for local construction companies involving FAR/DAR bidding & procurement
- Representing multiple US federal employees with wrongful demotion and termination, Equal Employment Opportunity filings, and various remedial actions
- Preparing and reviewing documentation on regulatory and compliance issues in the domestic and international arena, including disclosure laws, internet privacy laws, electronic data storage laws, and remedial action protocols
- Writing privacy policies, consent forms, confidentiality agreements, terms of service, and policies on data collection and retention
- Serving as bilingual legal intermediary between domestic counsel and Korean investors considering US-based investment opportunities
- Advising Korean corporate clients with acquisitions of foreign target companies, joint-venture agreements, and setting up distribution or production agreements in Southeast Asian countries and China
- Serving as legal project management/outside counsel management in Denmark, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States
