Spilman's White Collar Practice Group handled a 2+ year federal court appointment in the Western District of Pennsylvania involving a habeas petition. After extensive briefing and three days of hearings, the Court ruled for our client and reduced his original 10-year sentence based on the ineffective assistance of his trial counsel. The Government appealed to the Third Circuit, but that appeal has since been dismissed.
